Bartova, A., Otto, A. & Van Lancker, W. (forthcoming) Making parental leave policies work for single parents: Lessons from Europe. The ANNALS of the American Academy of Political and Social Science.

The paper uses the OFPP to estimate the eligibility for parental leave among single mothers at the time of birth. It uses the OFPP to measure the association between leave entitlements at the time of birth and employment outcomes of single mothers at the time of the interview.

Publications with the OFPP prototype

During my PhD, I created a prototype of the policy coding, which I used in estimating the effect of leave policies on the transition to first and second birth in Europe. The prototype covered maternity and parental leave policies in Europe between the years 2004 and 2009.
